Make the Call for Endangered Wildlife

Endangered and declining wildlife like sea turtles are facing rapidly-escalating threats that range from air and water pollution to permanent loss of habitat from oil, gas, and mining development.

But our federal government just took a major step to negate protections provided by the Endangered Species Act. The new change permits harming or killing threatened or endangered species as long as intent to harm or kill is not proven. The doors have been opened widely to allow the destruction and degradation of habitat—even direct and indirect killing of threatened and endangered species—as long as there is no proven intent.

There are proposals in Congress to block this recent change and restore the wildlife-saving protections of the Endangered Species Act. Please call your senators and representatives and let them know you support the reinstatement of these important protections.
