Ensure Hunting & Fishing Access for Generations

The Land and Water Conservation Fund provides critical hunting and fishing access across America, from opening up landlocked public lands in western big game habitat to opening boat launches for access to eastern lakes for freshwater fishing. Yet even as LWCF was permanently reauthorized this year in the John D. Dingell Conservation, Recreation and Management Act, the President’s budget proposed to eliminate its funding. LWCF needs full, dedicated funding to ensure it can deliver on the promise Congress made with it to future generations.

Don’t let Congress rob future generations of public hunting and fishing access: Tell them it’s time for mandatory full funding for LWCF.

Far too often, Congress has diverted funding authorized for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, depriving local communities of outdoor recreation opportunities to boost their economies and depriving hunters and anglers of public access which supports the nation’s $156 billion in annual expenditures on hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
