The once common monarch butterfly is drastically declining and bighorn sheep face threats from habitat loss to diseases. We need more than the Endangered Species Act to conserve our treasured wildlife.

It is a foundational conservation law that has saved hundreds of additional species from reaching extinction. However, our fish, wildlife, and plants face more challenges than ever before. Habitat loss, encroaching human development, disease, and other threats are leading to the decline of thousands of species - more than the Endangered Species Act can recover by itself.
It is time for Congress to pass the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act. This bipartisan legislation will ensure fish and wildlife managers have the resources they need to implement proactive conservation projects, helping to prevent species from becoming endangered in the first place.
