Speak up for the future of Sportsman’s Paradise

Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority’s new spending plan outlines roughly 100 projects to be funded in the next fiscal year. While many projects in this plan will benefit wildlife habitat and create a degree of storm protection, there are no long-term, large-scale projects to replace the two that were abruptly canceled without public input last year: the Mid-Barataria and Mid-Breton Sediment Diversions.

The canceled projects would have created durable protection for local communities, as well as created important new wetlands and other wildlife habitat in a region that is losing land quickly. Submit your comment on Louisiana’s Annual Plan today.
